FORT KNOX, Ky. — Army Emergency Relief representatives from each of the units and organizations at Fort Knox got together at Houston Bowling Center on June 13 to celebrate the end of the campaign.

Command Sgt. Maj. Sherm Waters, senior noncommissioned officer for Fort Knox garrison, joined them to celebrate the campaign and hand out some awards. Fort Knox raised over $88,000 during the contribution season.

“I have to say thanks to individuals at the unit level who were out there preaching and messaging AER,” said Waters. “It takes the people on the ground to make it successful.”

The winner for total contributions was U.S. Army Human Resources Command. Representatives from 34th Military Police Detachment won the award for the highest contribution rate.

Those in attendance at the ceremony enjoyed a round of bowling afterward.
